On a 2500 sqm flat plot, for example, a trench collector that is relatively easy to implement with DIY work should be quite suitable.

Would be a very good alternative. The builder is an excavator driver – the own contribution would be easily doable. Thank you for your answers. I will read up on the [Kollektoren] in detail.

Hello

I am bringing up the topic again.

At the moment, we are at the point where we want to have the heating load calculated as soon as possible & then choose a heating system.

Now my questions:
We have a detailed discussion with the architect including a site visit in the next few days to finalize the floor plan data & the plan.
Only then can the heating load be calculated. Who should I commission to do this? The prefabricated house company? A separate company? I don’t want to embarrass myself, I’m just completely clueless ops:

Our current favorite:
- Brine heat pump with trench collector
- Fireplace
- Photovoltaic preparation
- NO solar

Now one more question:
I would like to have a controlled residential ventilation system. Is this useful? What exactly do I have to consider in connection with the fireplace & extractor hood (kitchen)?

For me, it’s all so unclear & I’m really afraid of making mistakes or regretting decisions later.

Hello,

I would definitely not do without a controlled residential ventilation system in a new building.

What you need to pay attention to is the following:

- The wood stove should have a DIBT certification, a self-closing door, and a room-air-dependent air supply.

- The kitchen exhaust should be a recirculating hood.

If you meet these two conditions, you usually do not need (although depending on the district chimney sweep master) neither a differential pressure monitor for the wood stove nor a window contact switch for the exhaust hood.

Our heating engineer has set our controlled residential ventilation system so that we have a slight overpressure in the house - this as an additional safety measure to prevent smoke gases from entering the house in the event of a possibly leaky wood stove.

Regards,

Dirk

If you do geothermal energy, don't forget to ensure that the calculated annual performance factor is greater than 4.5 and that you can then secure the €4,000-4,500 BAFA bonus. A reputable company that sells and installs earth collector heating systems nationwide in Germany is Metternich. Many house-building companies do not do this and only offer deep drilling.

: Thank you for the tip about the subsidy & with Metternich!! We are still considering whether to remove the heating system from the contract with the prefabricated house company - still need to clarify how that will work... Thank you for your answer. Everything has been noted
