Oh man. I wish I had known that earlier... I think I paid about €800 extra for the cooling function :-(Buy, plug in, cool, and also a few filler words for the forum software...

Why hasn't any manufacturer actually come up with the idea of offering air conditioning indoor units instead of underfloor cooling for the normal heat pump? The technology is basically the same afaik, and with a split air conditioning system you basically have the same outdoor unit standing outside again. Is there a technical reason why you can't combine that?

I have seen that Panasonic has an Aquarea EcoFlex that can do that. I haven't been able to find it in any online shop yet.Why hasn't any manufacturer come up with the idea yet to offer air conditioning indoor units instead of underfloor cooling for the regular heat pump? As far as I know, the technology is the same, and with a split air conditioner, you basically have the same outdoor unit standing outside again. Is there a technical reason why this cannot be combined?

An "air conditioner" is an air-to-air heat pump! In a well-insulated new building, I would always prefer something like that over an air-to-water heat pump. Faster response time with ERR, lower investment costs, active dehumidification, hardly any space required in the utility room or basement! Hot water is generated using an electric instantaneous water heater.

Faster response time with ERR, lower investment costs, active dehumidification, hardly any space required in the utility room or cellar!
Hot water is made with an electric instantaneous water heater.
That is clear to me. The question is why no manufacturer yet offers suitable indoor units for the regular heat pump (heating system) that can cool in winter. There are also multi-split systems for air conditioners, so why not something like that?
