Hello,
we are also building a house (KF70) with a heat pump.
We will definitely install an additional wood stove.
For that, I do not need to calculate energy efficiency or the heating load of a room or cost calculation.
Common sense is completely sufficient....
Reasons for this:
- cozy warmth, in the living room gladly 25°C+ :-)
- with the wood stove, you can heat the entire house for weeks during the transitional period without the heat pump
- what to do if the power goes out for a few days? Minus 10°C and no heating, well then?
The wood stove keeps the whole house safely above freezing
- I live in a small town, rural area, I have been cutting wood myself for years.
Whether it really pays off financially is secondary for us. Yes, even if I have 100€ extra consumption per year, I would still do it.
And yes, I love wood stoves!
