And with us, you don't even get a plot of land for that...

Maybe this option is possible: Your siblings buy the plot of land and build the house, the parents give you the 250 k for financing, and you then simply let them live in ,,your house? If both of you have good credit, that shouldn't be a big problem... simplify Your life!

Do you really want to pay 250 euros monthly for the next few years as children? What if you want to start a family yourself and/or build a house? Maybe it would be an option for your parents to buy a used house. Maybe 250,000 euros would be enough then, and your parents could finance a nicer life with their existing salary and also save for retirement.

Best regards
Sabine

Then hopefully it is correctly and verifiably taxed... otherwise there could be nasty surprises

Some work on the house we would do ourselves, and the 500€ is not a problem for me and my brother. My parents live in a very small town, which has enjoyed a very strong upswing in recent years. Unfortunately, there are no used houses available at a reasonable price. If you find reasonable houses in Montabaur (it must be in Montabaur and not in a neighboring village), we would get together again and discuss alternatives. Personally, it is important to me that my parents now do something with their money, as I am quite sure that otherwise it will be passed on untouched to my brother and me. The intended plot of land is just under 700 sqm and is really one of the cheapest plots you can still get, as the town is really growing like crazy. I don’t know to what extent you can consider such a home as an investment, but when I think that my father’s best friend bought a plot 20 years ago for 10k marks and sold it 5 years ago for 300k, you can still hope that prices will continue to rise. We have already had several appointments with different banks and will calculate whether it makes financial sense at all.
