Always wash paws with cold water. There is no hot water tap at all in the guest bathroom. Why?

I appreciate circulation especially in the kitchen. Cleaning cloth works better with warm water, boiling water goes faster when the water is already warm. And cleaning hands is also more pleasant with warm water.

I can't think of any reason not to do it and yes, even when showering the waiting time would annoy me.

So the preferences are just different. That's just how it is. I always wash my hands with cold water too. I always rinse the cleaning cloth once beforehand. By then the water is warm. And with induction and the lid on, the water boils ultra fast. The 8 seconds in the shower mean nothing to me. And when bathing, the cold water is mixed in. As I said, the preferences are just different. For that, for example, I would never want to shower without a faucet with a thermostat. Others see it as a useless gimmick.

And when it is hot, it goes even faster. Although this misses the "actual" function of the kettle, which is to quickly and cost-effectively heat cold water where no energy has yet been added, and not to take already warm water where you have already put in "gas, pellets or something else," but OK... And I think you even save less than 20 seconds of waiting time there...

Hot water from the [Speicher] is significantly cheaper than from the kettle. It’s about comfort. One thinks they need it, the other doesn’t.

How have the heat pump users among you actually set the hot water preparation? Do you let the heat pump heat hot water only once or twice a day to a higher temperature than delivered, or do you, for example, set it to 40° and have the heat pump prepare hot water on demand throughout the day?

I’m only asking because at the moment, in our case, we heat the hot water tank to 50°, although we only draw 40° (via a fresh water system), but we only let it heat once a day at a fixed time around midday (because of photovoltaics). Occasionally, the tank is empty before the next heating phase… but unfortunately, I haven’t found a suitable schedule for us yet.
