That may be the case with some things. For example, craftwork etc. But when it comes to financing or feasibility, I don't believe that. Those formats rather thrive on a lack of education (be it basic math skills).

Offtopic: In my opinion, the feasibility of financing depends on two things: one's own financial possibilities (income - expenses = remainder <--- math grade 2) AND the self-assessment of one's own money management or the self-assessment of one's personal life circumstances (children planned? etc.). For both, I don't need an advisor. Point 1 is handled by a calculator and point 2 by one's own mind.

Of lack of education and/or the glaring discrepancy between self-perception and external perception

That is somewhat naive thinking – after all, people tend to like overestimating themselves. And strangely enough, they usually don’t even notice it ;)

An independent perspective (= bank advisor) can really help a lot...

Sorry, I think you see everything a bit too black and white...

Why are there so many different financing options? Certainly not because there is one "ideal standard variant" for everyone.

I trained as a banker and additionally studied - but since I don't deal with it daily, I would never presume to have an overview of all current financing options that make sense for me individually, since it is simply not my daily business.

It makes sense that there are specialists for financing (and other areas of banking).

After all, there is not only the classic annuity loan that every banker can explain to you in their first year of training...

If you can gather, select, and finally evaluate all that yourself (in addition to your tasks as an entrepreneur), you have my full respect.

Still, I have some doubts about that...

I was more concerned with the question of feasibility now, less about the financing option. We also had an advisor... but an independent one. They do make sense because they have an overview of the market and can show different financing options. But if I think about it... hmm... that could actually also be done with software :)
