Hello dear community.
This is about our Zapf prefabricated garage that we want to widen into a large garage.
Since demolition and complete rebuilding is much more expensive, we want to attempt the conversion in spring.
A master mason drew the sketch for me. The main work consists of supporting the precast concrete ceiling.
The mason has 15 years of professional experience and said that the conversion can be carried out like this.
For space reasons related to the garage height, the concrete ceiling rests on the HEM 140 beam.
In the end, a ring beam and a 30⁰ pitched roof will be added. The eaves side faces the gate. Snow load zone 1.
For weight reasons, the gable sides will be made from a wooden beam construction, clad with boards.
Maybe someone knowledgeable could take a look at this and comment.
Of course, I am available for questions.
