Would you like fences around your house/property and if so, why?

If we had a fence like many other neighbors, we wouldn't have hedgehogs and rabbits. So they feel quite comfortable with us, rather displaced by fences… The lettuce has not been nibbled yet, and there has been no slug alarm either. I don't like a gate like Fort Knox. Our yard is freely accessible. I am the one who likes it to be inviting and wants to welcome. Inner security is taken care of :cool:
