Hello everyone,
we want to have our wood-burning stove inspected soon, have had a chimney with fresh air supply installed, the stove itself is already at home and can be operated independently of room air. The connection for the flue pipe was prepared at the factory.
The chimney sweep, however, definitely required a pressure monitor due to the existing controlled residential ventilation, which was also installed.
For the room-air-independent operation, I would now still have to make an additional fresh air connection at the chimney, which, of course, involves costs. Now I wonder if the effort is even worth it since I already have the pressure monitor installed and there is constantly fresh air due to the controlled residential ventilation.
Does anyone have experience with making the fresh air connection? Is it simply a matter of drilling a hole up to just before the clay pipe?
