Window with parallel setting

Our windows have that too, but it was not subject to an extra charge, so it doesn't matter. I am not a fan of it; I am rather concerned about wear and tear because the parallel setting is not rigid but "wobbles," so there is always movement in the window. We were promoted this as a ventilation option even in bad weather.

No, according to the promotional video, only the bad air goes out, but the heat stays inside.

I haven't watched a promotional video myself, but I have visited 2 to 3 independent, as well as dependent, sites: None of them address heat loss. In short: only a comparison to a tilted-open window is described, still with the advantage that there is an insurance guarantee in case of break-in (which there is not for tilted-open windows on the ground floor).

If I conclude, the air gain/exchange and heat loss can be equated with the tilted-open window - of course noting that it takes longer with the parallel position.

Well, that is certainly a similarly good thing as ventilation with Fresh valves in the outer wall.

To reduce investment costs, one could alternatively also remove seals between frame and sash.
