Just received 2 offers for windows. It is an industrial building to be renovated. 20 pieces, triple-glazed, approx. 1.60m x 1.20m including installation, white, same security types. Offer 1: approx. 35k Euro. Offer 2: approx. 9k Euro. Can’t be? Some mistake somewhere? The 2nd one was wrong? Think again! Offer 2 - German company with windows from Poland. Offer 1 - windows from Germany.

Both offers including installation / fitting, material - everything. One wants a bit over 200 per window, the other over 1000. We are currently talking with provider 2 and cautiously probing whether he might be mistaken. But the person who recommended that type had the same windows installed in his house and received the same low prices.

It is the factory building, yes. But marketing to grandchildren - that was just wishful thinking.

So in terms of price, you can save a lot with the [Polenfenster], but including installation, it seems a bit too cheap to me. However, the material actually costs only a fraction.

You know the windows? They are okay? Then don't hesitate to accept. The differences are quite considerable. Here eight windows, two doors, one patio door element. Germany vs Poland 3000 net. Poland was cheaper. Only material, because installation is always through our general contractor. Difference in quality? From Germany there would have been Rehau profiles, from Poland Veka. Rehau seems somewhat finer, more delicate, Veka is quite massive. Otherwise all windows and doors are okay.

We can have a look at the windows with the mentioned broker. Let's see. But if they're enough for the residential building, they'll probably be fine for the industrial building as well.
