Window handles with position feedback or window contacts?

Yep, this use case is also the one I know. However, I would not consider the additional cost justifiable. Double sensors, double binary inputs. In a single-family house, that quickly amounts to 1000€.

You can manage that with the lock monitoring, meaning a sensor, as well. Tilt is just detected in a more granular way. "Open" includes both.

To detect open and tilted windows safely and 100% error-free, you of course have to set two contacts. I mentioned the MVS because every window manufacturer knows it, and you only need one magnet for both signals, and yes, you can of course install the contacts on any window type. If necessary, you might have to use different magnets.

Back when I built mine, I simply realized it with the cheapest contacts from Conrad, because at that time, including connection to the BUS, the whole thing cost about 30 euros per sash. So if you trust yourself, you can easily do it yourself for a fraction of the cost.

Hello,

I am returning to the old topic once again. We have the problem that our window manufacturer also only installs the Siegenia Aerocontrol, but for us they are supposed to cost 180 net each, which is more than hefty. There is also no distinction between tilted and closed, as this is not VdS compliant. The window manufacturer also does not want to install non-VdS-compliant contacts, so the Aerocontrol with tilt monitor is not an option.

The question I have is, are there any technical or optical disadvantages if you install two Roto MvS contacts? Would this then be done by the electrician if you do not want to do it yourself?

Or how would you proceed otherwise in our situation?

Thank you very much for your feedback

No, you do not have any disadvantages because of that.

The UMS 001?
Then it should be clear, the window installer simply has no desire or sees luxury surcharges possible here. It is not due to the material value or the labor.

Whether the electrician will do it... probably only if he does not have to drill into the profile. Otherwise, you have to do it yourself and risk the warranty on the window.
Or just change the window installer. Either he simply cannot do it or he wants to rip you off.

I do not have the exact designation. The window manufacturer also does not seem properly informed about this. These are the standard monitoring systems for Aldra windows. The price also seems very high to me. But changing the window manufacturer because of that is certainly not easy. We are building with BU. I noticed that Siegenia also manufactures the fittings, would it still work with Roto, which has its own fittings?
