Friends of mine also have this effect.

We do not have the effect (or rather, we only notice it on the roof windows).

The wall windows are triple-glazed each.

Since we each have a house from the same manufacturer, but the friends’ house is about a year older, I was able to find out the following from the window manufacturer upon inquiry:

a) The fogging on the outside is actually a sign of good thermal insulation
b) The manufacturer now coats the windows accordingly against fogging, we happened to just have received the new version.

Best regards Thorsten

Haha, the Fender manufacturers did a good job: making everyone believe that fogging up is a good sign...

Soon the roofers will tell us that a bit of water permeability is good because the controlled residential ventilation makes the air too dry...

Just a joke. I'm happy about my fogged-up windows

I cannot understand your objection.

Due to the better thermal insulation of the triple glazing, the outside surface of the window naturally remains colder. That's why moisture from the air condenses there. A completely normal physical process (not invented by the window manufacturers).

To some extent, this fogging can be prevented by coating the glass with titanium dioxide or with nanoparticles.

If you don't have that on your windows, the effect is indeed annoying (sometimes you can't see outside for hours...), as I was able to see from my own experience with my friends.
