They are therefore not cheaper ... even if with aluminum the principle of double-sided or through-colored applies.

So I probably have to choose between "cleaning intensity" and "visual appeal," with the latter probably prevailing. I just don’t like it when you look out from an angle inside and you see the white frames inside and the black seals and dark aluminum frames outside. In terms of price, the difference between wood/aluminum with just a glaze and fully painted is about 3%. However, this makes no difference for us, since only glazed and thus wood-look is out of the question for us, but only fully painted (regardless of whether white or black-brown) comes into consideration. We have also already found a venetian blind manufacturer who paints RAL 8022 without extra charge (Eurosun). Garage doors cost about 500 euros extra, so that’s also manageable.

The alternatives to RAL 8022 that come into consideration for us would be RAL 7016 (but everyone already has that and it is a bit too "bluish" for us) and RAL 7021 black gray (which is a bit too cold and technical compared to black-brown).

We have dark oak foil on both the outside and inside on plastic frames and would definitely do it that way again. I always wanted dark windows and think the room looks interesting because of them. The windows stand out strongly from the wall, I think that’s really stylish. We also added one step further and have tilt-and-turn windows where it was possible in terms of width. This way you also have a thick black bar in the middle - the color is actually dark brown-gray-wood grain, but looks pretty black.
I don’t think you have too little light because of that, I like it. It was always clear to me that white windows were not an option (rental apartment style).

No idea, that's pee?, we have yellow as well as dark... we haven't seen yellow on black!

Well, if we had known that, we would have chosen dark inside again now. But all good - you have to own something different sometimes.

Definitely!

I have to briefly revisit this topic because we are not quite finished regarding the colors of our wood-aluminum windows.

We are now fixing RAL 7016 on the outside, so anthracite gray. It is no longer unique, but we simply like it best (not many people have it for free either) and everything else we like (dark is a must) is outside the standard (for the blinds), and that always makes replacement or repairs difficult (delivery time and flat-rate surcharge).

Now, the thing is that we don’t actually want anthracite gray on the inside (it doesn’t fit with the interior), but rather brown-gray (RAL 7013) or umber-gray (RAL 7022).

Now my question is: Do you think it bothers that different but similar colors (in terms of darkness) are used inside and outside? Has anyone perhaps done that?

Best regards
Jochen

In our new development area, most of the windows are [7016] or basalt gray on the outside and white on the inside. My impression is that you hardly notice this contrast when looking through. If the colors also resemble each other, it will certainly not be disturbing. So I don't think it is bothersome.

I would rather think about the color of the window profiles, that is, the part you can see when the sash is open. They are not only available in white ...
