Exactly THAT drove me crazy.
This subservience and blind approval of the authorities, who mostly acted not very smart but rather corrupt.
It was pure fear, because the rich also gave them the cheap jobs (or not) and dissent doesn’t go down well there.

I can only partially agree with you, because although I vote 100% "left," I actually wish for a liberal, socialist, and at the same time a green (ecologically responsible / sustainable) overall government that does everything "right" (what is right? Social, fair, equal?, no..., that is really more complicated!). Unfortunately, that really is probably hopeless. Nevertheless, I no longer want to hear: My vote doesn’t count, it doesn’t matter what I do, etc. If everyone does what they can in their microcosm, many would already be helped!
