Well, I would have also suggested "buy". You think the stones are no longer available? I don't believe that :) And if they are, I would frame them in a contrast.

Thank you. That might help with the search. I haven't found anything on eBay Classifieds yet, but I will keep looking.

My problem until today was that I didn't even know what this stone or the shape is called. That's why it was also difficult to search if it is still available for purchase. But I will write to a few building material dealers in my area. I haven't seen this paving anywhere else, and since it is 40 years old, I just thought that it probably isn't available for purchase anymore. But I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Just a completely different question. I have also thought about repaving the driveway. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what the substructure looks like. Could you possibly just lay new paving on top of the old substructure? Maybe apply a layer of gravel/sand and then put the new stones on top? I know it's a lot of work to pave a driveway like that, but I'm just considering whether I should actually do it now. There would still be some money left from the renovation to have it done, probably not enough, but the stones themselves don't cost that much. Anyone have experience with this?

In the photos, I don't see any ruts, how does it look in real life?

Unwanted puddles?

The pavement already looks quite old, if there have been no ruts until now, the substructure should be in good condition.

So you could risk repaving it.

But is it so urgent to remove the flower bed?
Wait another 1-2 years until you have more money available and then redo it with a new substructure? Or at least then you would have the option to redo the substructure when the area is exposed without suffering financial hardship;)

There are no puddles, but the driveway is sloped. Everything drains off there. There aren’t really any ruts to be seen either, it still looks quite good overall. The flower bed doesn’t necessarily have to go, it just gets in the way a little when driving in and out. Theoretically, everything could stay as it is for now. However, we have already remodeled quite a bit, the driveway would still be the last “highlight” for me. But it can wait. I need to find out what it actually costs, it’s probably about 40 square meters. Hence the question whether the base could be left as is. I and my father would still dare to just lay the paving. But thanks already for the many suggestions and ideas.
