Why is shading particularly important in newly built houses?

Yes, in hindsight I should have gone with the alternative after all. But that was just twice as expensive. But now it first needs to be properly adjusted soon, now that all the doors are in.

Yours has a constant volume flow control for that - mine unfortunately does not, which makes balancing easier. However, mine is then much less sensitive to changes in the house. MyCraft will know what I mean .

Correct, a combination of both would be good. But at least the easyControls modbus tcp is already built into the standard, so I can at least automate the summer bypass, otherwise the only alternative would be to turn it off during the day in summer.

Phew, I’m out for now.

We have been offered the Brötje LivingAir LAK450L (for an additional charge).
In the drawing from the datasheet, I see a bypass damper, heat exchanger, electric preheating coil. But whether it can also "cool" in reverse or is approved by building regulations? No idea.

The offer mentions the functions "free heating, free cooling, night cooling in summer." The unit also has an input for a differential pressure switch (we need that because a stove is going in the living room).

Maybe "free cooling" is the reverse path through the heat exchanger and night cooling is then the path bypassing the heat exchanger (bypass).

It also says: Dibt approval in preparation. So that sounds like individual approval for now.

You come from NRW - hopefully you have applied for the progres funding? Then you need this DiBT approval...

No - that doesn’t ring a bell either. As a standard device, we were offered a Vallox system, which is supposedly subsidized with 1000 EUR. But since it can’t preheat initially and has no connection for the pressure differential switch, we focused on the Brötje. According to the installer, however, there is no subsidy for that one.

What you say sounds like there is a general controlled residential ventilation subsidy in NRW. I’ll look into that right away. We can also exchange more details via private message before we drift off further here. The question would be whether the subsidy amount > approval costs. And why the installer doesn’t know such a thing...
