Why is shading particularly important in newly built houses?

Exactly, but only for itself

It should also be considered that the sand-lime brick, once warmed up, also stores a lot of energy, meaning that at night you lose the heat less easily...
Shading is definitely essential for us, with about 12 m² of window area in the living-dining area, most of it facing south.

Hi,

huuiih..

Really "only" 3,500 euros? How should one imagine that? Are there ventilation ducts coming from the upper floor ceiling, similar to a controlled residential ventilation system?

What is the connection power of such an air conditioner? In other words, what is the power consumption?

We are slowly approaching the final stretch; the screed is currently drying, but maybe one wants to retrofit something like that someday... Our attic is empty and unused....

Best regards,

Andreas

Sounds like a ceiling unit - but then the doors have to be open.

With us, there will be individual units in the upper bedrooms/living room that operate independently of each other. All the air conditioning lines go up to the attic, where they are bundled to the outdoor unit on the roof.

However, for these units with you, it would already be too late for a simple solution, because the condensate line, power, and air conditioning lines would have to go UP into the rooms - and of course be airtight sealed to the collar beam layer.

All units cost me just under 4000 euros plus the few lines, which were not 400 euros. I installed wall installation boxes right away, where everything is already inside and can easily be retrofitted later.

Because money is all gone

I was actually surprised how cool it has been in the house the last few days. Although there is still no shading at all, and the insulation on the attic ceiling is missing.

But this summer is a joke anyway.

You have interior plaster right now, don't you? Just wait - it will get warm. It's still cool thanks to all the construction moisture - I used to have this misconception too.
