I have no idea why I hoped someone here would immediately share something from their own experience...
here someone immediately shoots something from their own experience...
I did not raise the dead, and since I also have a Mall concrete cistern, I thought I would give my opinion ;-)So, the cistern project is completed. In the end, it became a 9100-liter cistern, the Blue model from the rain collectors with filter basket and calm inlet. Based on the experience of , I will keep a close eye on the filter. The rain collectors are simply a cistern intermediary: We got a brand-name cistern from Mall! And even cheaper than directly from Mall (€2005 including delivery). The local concrete plant couldn't compete with the prices either. We are buying the pump separately, as it is considerably more expensive from the rain collectors than in ordinary online trade. It will cost about €300, but it's a good model (not yet decided). For the pit, we paid another €2000 (including sand filling and partial removal of excavation) and also had a seepage trench dug by the excavator. We filled the trench with 30m of drainage pipe (hardware store, €60), 16t of drainage gravel (16/32 size, €400 including delivery), and corresponding fleece around it (€70). Overall, the project has become quite expensive and will pay off only after 15-20 years, depending on how the rainfall fees develop. But for that, we have the small luxury of a probably always full water tank, and in view of increasingly warmer and drier summers, we are quite glad we did it.
