So does a rimless toilet have problems with dirt on the edge...?

Hello everyone,

I'm digging up the thread again. I'm facing the same decision and need a recommendation for a rimless toilet.

The options are:

- Geberit iCon
- Villeroy & Boch Subway 3.0
- Duravit ME

The cistern is Viega Prevista Dry.

Does anyone have experience with the models or the combination with the cistern?

Thanks and best regards
Ben

I am not very happy with our rimless toilet. Maybe it's the model (Ideal Standard Connect), but two things annoy me: occasional water splashing when flushing – that is, flush water "springs" out of the toilet and ends up on the floor. We have now solved this by getting used to pressing the toilet lid down before flushing (which probably isn't good in the long run with a soft close). And visually, slight discolorations/deposits on the rim. I assume there is permanently a bit of water standing/running there. It looks like a lime scale ring. You really have to look closely. But it doesn't come off easily, and the toilet is cleaned every week by someone who knows what they are doing. We would not buy it again like this. Rimless maybe (if the splashing is not because of that), but definitely not this model anymore, even though I find it visually great.
