I have 2 lift-and-slide windows. It is like a tilt-and-turn, only that you can slide the sash to the side. This way you almost have something like a loggia.

I would choose it again and again. Unfortunately, they are no longer available, so I would also take/recommend the tilt-and-turn.

So the view would definitely be worthwhile, basically. Although it concerns the children's room windows and I wouldn't be interested in the next few years that they start any climbing actions to enjoy the view.

That brings us back to the question: While you can't really get out of a pure tilt window, climbing out of a wide-open casement window would be almost inviting. I can't find anything on how to secure that – probably won't exist, right?

The price difference for two windows would total about 600 euros, I just recalculated. I thought it would be even more.

Children are usually not big fans of romantic roof landscape views. For them, the windows are enough for light and air; for adventures, they go elsewhere. Whether the window has an app to fully open it does not give any coolness points in their peer group. Feel free to take the normal windows there.
