Which heating system should one choose for a new building?

You already wrote that in numerous other posts. Oh, your great passive house only 30 euros heating per month. Blah blah... It’s starting to get annoying.

Hello, my tip, since you want to build in Lower Bavaria. There is a solid company in Breitenberg in your area that does deep drilling.

I can’t read it anymore either, therefore

... thanks to the gas heating, you certainly did not acquire a passive house. This is characterized, among other things, by the absence of a traditional heating system.
... you probably only have plenty of insulation (which was not for nothing!) and a ventilation system, therefore little heat loss, ergo low consumption. This, in turn, has no connection whatsoever to the neighbor’s heat pump.
... the gas price is rather low, the electricity price at an absolute high. This distorts perception.
Prices of fossil fuels are subject to political stability and international speculation, electricity is essentially priced through state levies, so this price is controllable (if desired). But the crystal ball will show in 5, 10, 15 years what was economically better individually.
Just yesterday the political will circulated again through the media to bash fossil fuels and lower the electricity price again. Well, we’ll see.

Additionally, retirees generally have a lower hot water demand than families with (pubescent) daughters :P. --- And in my opinion, hot water should not be overlooked in the costs.

In general, I agree with you.

However, generous insulation has the advantage that no matter how energy prices fluctuate, consumption remains low.
If possible, I would also insulate as thoroughly as possible. A large part here are costs like, for example, the scaffolding anyway.
If done as own work or with individual contracts, all this is also quite affordable.
Unfortunately, this is often not the case with general contractors.

I do not want to disagree with that either. However, the costs for the additional insulation are not included when only talking about monthly consumption costs and investment in the technology. Just turn off the heating, then you have 0 euros monthly consumption costs – but this is by no means the only quality feature. Ultimately, the insulation is part of the system, and if costs for partial aspects of the system are omitted, the representation of the system is simply incorrect.
