I recently received the following statement from the general contractor/general planner: A ground source heat pump costs 10,000 euros more than an air-water heat pump. However, you get subsidies so that the price difference is "only" 5,000 to 6,000 euros.
And honestly, if that's true, then I wouldn't have to think twice and I'd go with geothermal. But is that correct?
Yes, that's correct, with us the surcharge for gas or air-water heat pump compared to geothermal is 10,000€ minus BAFA only 5,500. Please submit the BAFA application BEFORE signing with the home builder.
The air-to-water heat pump Mist especially annoys the neighbors!!! Everywhere I talk to people... there is trouble with the neighbors because of the dirt..
Gas, district heating, geothermal, combined heat and power plant, etc. all nice.. but hands off the air-to-water heat pump!
Steffen80 what is so bad about an air-to-water heat pump? The noise from the split unit? With us, even at full load, only a very quiet humming can be heard.
In Recklinghausen, an entire residential area is full of these things. We walked through it in winter. Only one of them made a sound, and its cover was a bit loose.
A geothermal heat pump certainly saves at least 40 euros per month compared to an air-to-water heat pump for a 350m2 house according to the absolute energy saving regulations... In a good house, you don’t even have 40 euros in heating costs per month.
