Maybe you should first explain or, even better, sort out which pieces of furniture you actually want to buy. I think you won’t really get any further the way you’ve been doing it so far. It’s also a difference whether you just want something to sit on or a piece of furniture that you enjoy looking at again and again as you pass by. For €30-40,000 you can furnish two single-family houses nicely with furniture but just as easily make one single-family house utterly ugly. Just having a big wallet doesn’t help much since you have to find the furniture that suits you and your needs. I often get the impression that spending is almost lavish when it comes to fences, kitchens anyway, garages, surveillance and automation stuff compared to the mattress, the sofa or the nice decor or art. You can buy something nice anywhere from Ikea to Höffner etc. Somehow it reminds me of Gerhard Polt with "Im Buchladen" :D

Who dared to do that to you....really bad. But someone already told you that there is no obligation to read here, right? So from now on: you may click on and don’t have to read everything........you’re even allowed to do that in our dictatorship :D Instead of becoming so unfriendly, it would surely be more helpful for the OP if you responded specifically to something/someone. Make an effort, even if it is difficult or unknown so far, kindness can also be fun! the OP was not looking for that either, but decent furniture. "Bargain" was probably added.

The fact is, really good furniture costs a lot of money. We have had to experience this several times. Let's take a TV lowboard. At first, we thought, because it is available thousands of times online, "ok, we should find something for 250-300€." Now we don't like buying furniture online. We want to touch and try it out. So off to the usual furniture stores and give it a go. We had to realize that for that money there is only junk. Cheap veneer that will probably chip off soon, cheap hinges, etc. A new purchase is programmed after a few years. Ok, reluctantly increased the budget to about 400-600€. The result? Exactly the same. All crap. Seriously. We were totally frustrated. Then we put the budget aside and looked at what is available that is high-quality/durable and(!) we like. There we found something. Unfortunately for 1,500€... Long hesitated. Long weighed. Then bought. One of the best purchases we have made in recent years. The design is timeless, will still please us in years to come. And it is really high-quality. We have had the lowboard now for about 7 years and it is like on the first day. Edit: checked again, it was 1,800€.

Hehe, sounds like cognitive dissonance has fully kicked in.

I don't know if that's the case, but since your post comes right after mine, I naturally refer to it and must admit that I don't understand it :)
