We are looking for furniture that looks timeless and elegant.
e.g. white furniture with wood accents

For the interior design, we have budgeted approximately 30-40k€

We simply find it difficult to figure out which furniture manufacturers offer good quality at a reasonable price
or where we should start our search

Price related to quality

We don’t want to just go to a furniture store and buy overpriced junk that breaks after a few years.
I would estimate, since I am not an expert, that I cannot distinguish between good and bad quality.
Because the poor quality is usually very well hidden

So far, I have mostly gone to cheap furniture stores and bought inexpensive furniture because I knew it was only temporary until we find a house

Now that we have found our house, I want to focus on good quality but also not pay an extreme amount for the "name," just reasonable prices for the quality

Furniture stores are a strange bunch anyway, almost none of them sell furniture but discounts. And the unsuspecting customer plays along. By the way, the gross profit margin in the furniture trade is according to Statista a whopping 43% ...

... and about 3.5% net profit margin remains from that ;) (own analyses within our group)

Then free yourselves from the manufacturer question and just start at a very good store, ask questions and listen. With that budget, it’s possible to buy a "flagship piece of furniture" or a home detail. Approach the matter fairly from the outset and get advice. I’ve already mentioned one suggestion. We bought quite a bit there but by no means everything. That was clear from the start and totally unproblematic.

All major brands offer that. Ad hoc mid-priced standard from the furniture store: Musterring, Hülsta, Venjakob

or Sudbrock, Rolf Benz, Koinor, or... there are so many.

Another furniture store that comes to mind is Sijben on the furniture mile in Roermond (belongs, like Knuffmann, to the Schaffrath Group), they offer a broad range beyond the run-of-the-mill standard.
