Which battery-powered lawn mower should I buy for approximately 700m² of lawn area?

I just wanted to express that I believe I don't need longer to get the fresh battery + put the empty one into the charger than I need to refuel a gasoline mower. Admittedly, the tank will last longer than a battery. My only "concern" is that the second battery will be empty before the other is fully charged again. (Bosch states that after 56 minutes the battery is 80% charged again) Today, in the store, I held the Rotak 43 Li in my hand. It's really super light (but without a battery!). I will definitely do that! Honestly, I had probably already decided before creating this thread, but I wanted to hear a few opinions/experiences.

Lawn mowing robots! (But only one, why two?)

The problem with the noise [of the petrol mower] is that the working citizen only has a few hours per week left for mowing. Then in summer, every Saturday morning you rush through the garden (if you work full time and your workplace is not just across the street). For me, quiet times are certainly an important limiting factor for many tasks. Just a subjective hint, of course it's not like this for everyone ...!

So, bought! However, a Stihl (Viking) RMA 448 Town & Country set including mulching kit, 2 batteries + charger. Yesterday was the Stihl test day and the mower completely convinced us! Of course, it is not cheap, but for a battery-powered lawn mower with drive, especially compared to the Bosch Professional series, it is a very good deal!

After now exactly 6 weeks of ownership and meanwhile mowing the lawn 4 times, I can say with satisfaction: Everything was done right! (Of course, the price is debatable; it must be worth it to you!)

During the first mowing, the two batteries were just enough, the large battery was already about 80% charged again at that time. But the grass was quite long then; meanwhile, the 2nd battery is no longer fully needed. Today mulched for the first time (the optional mulching kit includes a different blade and an insert (wedge) that ensures the grass stays longer in the mowing chamber and is cut into smaller pieces). What can I say: I am highly satisfied! You can’t see anything from the mulching cut at all! It looks like it was mowed with a catcher! Last year it looked completely different (when it was still mowed with a Viking petrol mower without a mulching kit).

In the medium term, I will buy a brush cutter and a scarifier in the corresponding battery versions; Stihl, like many providers nowadays, offers to operate all kinds of devices with the same batteries. Allegedly, a decrease in capacity is only expected/noticed after 1500 charging cycles. :O I am curious...

700 sqm is quite something. But with a Stiga AMulch mower, 48 cm cutting width or bigger, Briggs and Stratton 5 HP engine, wheel drive, it's mowed in half an hour. Well, such a mower isn't from a DIY store but from an agricultural supply store, professional division, but for just under 1000,- you also get a mower for life. Our Stiga, it’s still a two-stroke one to fifty, has been running since 1991 and keeps going and going. Karsten

Which I cannot recommend: battery mowers from Makita. Sparse plastic brackets for the handle broke after 2 years. Cheap junk! Will be heading to the trash soon.
