Hey,

I wanted to ask, where do you get your plants from?

There seem to be some cheap offers online, are they any good?

Or do you only buy trees at the [Baumschule]?

Very different, we have:

- Trees (magnolia) from the internet
- Trees (apple, pear, oleander (okay, not a tree)) from the "nursery"
- but also shrubs (currants, etc.) from the discount store or the garden center

It would be very important to me what exactly it is about. But especially with the fruit shrubs, we have had very good experiences from the discount store.

I order everything online because otherwise we would have to drive over an hour. I have had very good experiences with Baumschule Horstmann. Nice quality at a reasonable price.

[Slightly] cheaper but often smaller and scrawnier is pflanzmich. I like to buy there when I only need seedlings, but many of them.

Very decent quality also came from Eggert Pflanzenhandel. Of 80 bushes, only 1 did not grow, which was probably still my fault.

We bought roses from Agel-Rosen and Rosenpark Dräger - both absolutely fine without any failures.

Where I was somewhat disappointed is Baldur Garten. Here I had bought 4 small sets for balcony boxes. These plants were at a normal price, but I would have received at least double the plant size in the store.

Overall, it can be said that the online plant retailers put in a lot of effort and the price/performance ratio is almost always right. No one can afford to send poor quality goods because that immediately affects the rating.

We bought our hornbeam hedge from _pflanzmich_. Affordable and accommodating. However, I am not satisfied - the different deliveries (we ordered in 2 stages) do not match. The subsequent delivery, because some did not arrive, is planted much later in the hedge than the others and also looks different (not such a compact growth).

I bought fruit and special plants like kiwi from _Lubera_. Not because of the price, but because of the special selection.

There is supposed to be a Dutch supplier from whom I have heard many people rave.

Otherwise, I like to go to the hardware store, but for substantial and structural trees, we have various nurseries here, each specializing in something. Everything over €30 is not bought at the hardware store and similar places.

I do look out for bargains with the smaller items.

Thujas at Aldi. Shrubs, lawn seed at the local gardener Some plants dug up in the forest. Many B-grade goods – asked the gardener what needs to go. Then delivery "everything for 200,-" Karsten

Tsk, tsk! Then I'll come by your place sometime soon and dig up something too. Or is it your forest?
