When did you move into the new building (turnkey)?

We have received the construction schedule from the general contractor and now know when the handover with the Blower Door Test is planned. However, the letter stated that the new building will be in a damp condition at handover, and that special attention must be paid to the moisture before installing the kitchen. Now we are wondering what we need to factor in. So we are building over the summer, with completion in September. How long do we have to wait before we can have the kitchen installed? And how long would you wait / did you wait before moving in? We do not want to risk mold, but also do not want to pay rent unnecessarily for too long.

The kitchen will be only one of the problems. Exciting is the so-called [Belagreife] for the tiles. It must be measured. So after heating, painting, tiling, settling, with ventilating by shock 3 times daily in between.

We get the tiles and floor coverings completely managed by the general contractor. This will be done before handing over to us. We only do the painting work ourselves.

Hygrometers can be bought for a few euros. Humidity below 65% is acceptable, but still always ventilate, as this will also be a topic during the first year!

We will purchase such a unit. I am still looking for experience reports on how long others have waited. I can't just wait until we have taken over the house, then stand inside with the hygrometer, wait until it shows below 65, and then terminate my lease. I am currently trying to schedule the move and kitchen installation.

You would have to find someone who finished in similar weather ... we finished in February and installed the kitchen immediately because the values matched ...

Can't you go inside the house in the meantime or what?
