Yes, unfortunately, but I don't think I will have another option. It's at least good not to have to have the correct door leaf installed right away. We have an appointment with our door supplier on Tuesday, then I can bring it up again. Thank you all.

Correct. The frame must be installed as part of the shell construction. Normally, a construction door follows, which the construction company/window installer provides. If you have your own front door, you naturally also need your own construction door. Otherwise, the correct door must already be installed, and no one will take responsibility for any damage unless you stand there all day watching who makes the dent (video is not allowed).

I would ask your door installer if you can borrow a construction door for the construction phase. The front door usually comes at the very end, even after behind the stairs, etc...

Or just buy a construction door on ebayKleinanzeigen – I paid 60 euros for it, four OSB boards, some screws/dowels, and that was it...

That's why entrance doors should always be well protected; especially when they are already installed! Fiber fleece and/or bubble wrap really don't cost the earth

Rhenish greetings

But you cannot wrap the frame all around - nor the door itself - it still has to be able to close

Hello,
our front door (including frame) arrived almost at the very end.
All other work was carried out beforehand. After that, the plasterer plastered the niche. Then the tiler worked on the small piece of missing screed and laid the remaining four tiles on it, and that was it. Previously, there was only a construction door installed, which the window and front door supplier had also installed free of charge.
This procedure is standard with our general contractor. => No scratches, no problem for the craftsmen.
