What space requirement is there for a socket in the window reveal inside?

Hey,

the question is basically already in the title.

How much space would be optimal for that? Maybe some of you also have pictures?

Thanks

The question is quite imprecise though. How much space for what? To get a socket there? 10x10cm long.

Um, yeah, so that you can get a socket there. The socket is also in the title.

But thanks.

I attached a photo above that I found from us. The box itself is about 60mm. The frame later is about 80mm. So 10cm is sufficient. The installation height depends on your windowsill. If I remember correctly, we installed our sockets at 105cm, so that they are at the same height as the light switches, but I'm not entirely sure about that anymore.

Ah cool, thanks also for the picture. The height is not relevant in this case because it would be for the window sill, where the windowsill would be higher anyway. I was just thinking - hence the question - whether sockets can be installed there, because the wall is 17.5 cm, then the [WDVS] on the outside. And the window profile also reduces the depth.

That is a very good question!!! One of the quite few points that did not go optimally for us. We have a finished dimension of the reveal of 13.5cm, including plaster, and that was not sufficient for us!!!! The electrician's explanation sounded quite plausible at the time as to why the windows would have had to be moved further outward. I mean, the reason was the width of the plaster rail.
