What kind of spark protection is there in front of the fireplace??

we have now decided on a vinyl floor in our new building. Now the question is what kind of fireplace protection we should install in front of the fireplace. The fireplace installer suggested that it is best to tile in front of the fireplace. Preferably in the color of the vinyl. How did you solve it?

There aren't that many options. Either tiles, then you just have a transition strip between the two floor coverings, which I found anything but nice. Or the classic glass panel, which creates an edge but is visually mostly invisible.

We ourselves decided to equip the entire living room with wood-look tiles. But not everyone likes that either.

Looks good. How big are the joints? I've also been tempted by Marazzi :cool:

The joints are 3mm. The tiles themselves are very flat, the tiler had less trouble with them than with the other 30x60 ones we usually have – aside from the rather heavy weight of the pieces. As a result, the floor is also very even, which looks different in the hallway and bathroom. We have laid the living/dining area, kitchen, and study on the ground floor with them; in hindsight, they would have also worked well in the hallway. But that's how it goes afterwards... ;)
