What is the interest rate lock period in construction financing?

The financing is structured so that it works without special repayments; the special repayment is just a bonus so that I finish faster. My biggest question is whether the interest surcharge for a 15-year fixed interest period is worthwhile or not. There is already a big difference in the interest paid over 10 years.

No one can know whether 15 years are worth it or not. How should anyone? The higher interest rates are simply the price you pay for lower risk.

Just do 50% for 10 years, 50% for 15 years if you can't decide.

But not for much longer? Or how should one understand the opening post? That then depends on future life planning... everything has to be considered quite individually. A new partner 100 km away can already change everything ;)

I am married and will most likely remain so And moving is no longer an option for me because of my workplace which is nearby

I would always recommend a long term and adjust the repayment. The jump from 15 years is immense. So choose at least 15 years. Will we ever see the 2/3/4 % on the market? I don't think so, that's it.
