What is the feed-in tariff?

We had a photovoltaic system with 6.12 kWp installed in July 2021. In March 2022, the battery storage with 5.1 kWh was finally delivered. However, we have already fed well over 1,000 kWh into the public grid and continue to feed in because we do not consume everything.

My inquiry with the local grid operator revealed that the photovoltaic system had not been registered at all until now. I then asked the installer; he said he had done it. Ultimately, it probably slipped through somewhere and is now being caught up.

Where can I check at what price the fed-in energy is billed? I once read something about 7 - 8 ct. That is actually a joke, although energy is in such demand. Is there another way to use the energy better/sell it for a higher price? We do not want to order an electric car yet; the old diesel cars are still running well.

You, as the operator, must register yourself in the Marktstammdatenregister!

Feed-in tariff can be found with any common search engine.

Registration at the Marktstammdatenregister is done by yourself, but the installer handles it with the network operator. Additionally, the data for the commissioning must match. I don’t even remember the exact day.

"This consumer electricity price consists of 3 main components: 25% for electricity generation and distribution, which the electricity provider receives. 52% for government-mandated taxes, duties, and surcharges. 23% for the use of the electricity grids and billing service, which the grid operator receives." Source: strom-report You probably want the full 40ct now, right? But then you must also pay all additional costs.

Don’t be annoyed; most current feed-in suppliers are in the same situation. Photovoltaics and battery storage are already quite good. Just use as much energy yourself as possible. That should be over 50% in heat pump operation, otherwise less. That (self-consumption) is the profit. If you want to change the (your) feed-in tariff, you either have to become politically active (prepare for a lot of "headwind") or build such a large photovoltaic system that you can/may market the electricity yourself. Currently, the electricity exchange often offers more than the feed-in tariff.
