As a layperson, I think that with double they can sit in the middle and with triple not.

They look almost identical. You can easily see and experience that yourself in a specialty store.

Yes, please excuse me, I took it a bit easy because we live out here in the countryside and there is no opportunity for miles around to look at such windows. I assume we will be able to see them during the sample selection and wanted to hear opinions/experiences about them beforehand.

I know that – the distances are just a bit longer. Bretten isn’t a backwater; there are a number of window manufacturers and building supply stores there. Call, drive by, take a look. It does take some time, but it gives you a better feeling when making your decision. Surely the visual differences between two models are greater than the design-related differences between double or triple glazing.

In the space between the panes, with triple glazing it would be possible as with double glazing, each time in the first space seen from the inside. However, I would not do that, because the muntins would have to be installed by the glass supplier in the space between the panes.
