Bauexperte is right.

The third possibility would then be what happened to me, that there is actually certainty regarding the expected performance, but this later proves to be incorrect.

But that alone cannot be the solution to the puzzle, at least not in my building shell. The insulation is also present in the heated and developed areas of the attic, as I could verify through two existing inspection openings.
Furthermore, that still does not explain the moisture on the ground floor.

Let's see, the external expert will tell me on Tuesday.

Hi Bauexperte,

see previous page. We are currently more or less in the final phase. Drywall in the attic finished, painters and tilers were just at work when last weekend, following a bad premonition because there was still so much condensation moisture in the attic, I took the liberty to open the vapor barrier. Behind it, I found completely soaked insulation and significant condensation on the underlay membrane.
However, this was not only in the unheated attic but also in the heated rooms, which are already fully finished and wallpapered. Here there are inspection openings that allow crawling behind the knee walls, so I was also able to perform an inspection here, unfortunately with the same devastating result.
Furthermore, moisture is forming on the exterior walls of the ground floor, especially in the corners and in the unheated utility room along the entire exterior wall as well as on the dormer at the transition to the drywall construction of the attic, which has already led to initial mold growth.
Nice mess, indeed.

I assumed that too and had been relatively calm about it so far. It should actually resolve itself over time once most of the construction moisture is out of the house, or am I wrong?
