What are the approximate additional costs with a lower roof pitch?

So, maybe I wasn't clear. The development plan says at least 15 degrees. We want the roof to be as flat as possible. The architect said at least 18 degrees, otherwise it will be too expensive, but the builder suddenly says 22 degrees. However, the offer and the already approved building application always state 18 degrees. So I don't see why I should pay more for that. An offer is an offer. They should actually know their roof tiles well enough. It's the completely standard tile that we are using.

I do not understand the problem. If a written offer with 18 degrees roof pitch is available, then just accept it. If you have already accepted it, it is not your problem.

Hello,

I don't have to understand your architect - why is a pitched roof with 18° cheaper than one with 15°? Especially since in the range of roof pitches from 12-22° the same – flat – clay tiles can be used. Regarding the masonry, I also don't see any higher costs; you have to comply with the development plan anyway and can play with the knee wall so that it all adds up exactly.

You have a valid contract and a building permit – I would say it's your supplier's problem if they don't know their binding agreements/contracts ... and simply going from 18° to 22° doesn't work; only with an amendment to the building application.

Rhenish regards
