Due to the primary energy requirements, gas condensing boilers are hardly feasible without a solar thermal system, unless compensatory measures according to §7 EEWG or exemptions according to §25 Energy Saving Ordinance or §9 EEWG are utilized. There appear to be significant deficiencies here! The fact that good and comprehensive advice or information is essential is very clear here!

Best regards

Hello Insgruene,

I am also confused, many pieces of information about points that were not asked for and many abbreviations. Before the discussion begins, some basic conditions need to be clarified. Is it a new build or a conversion of an existing property, what budget is available, what energy standard should be achieved, and so on and so forth.

A sensible energy planning of a property should not be undertaken and decided by an individual. To be able to answer your questions, you have to sit down with the architect and an energy consultant as an integral planning team.

The planning scope for a water heat pump is more extensive than for a gas condensing boiler. If criteria such as water quantity, quality, and demand are improperly checked, supply security cannot be guaranteed in the short term, but possibly also in the long term. This then makes an economic calculation impossible.

The advantage of gas condensing technology, besides the high supply security, is the lower investment costs compared to the water heat pump. Regarding the necessary use of collector surfaces, the energy standard of your property decides. More on this from the energy consultant.
