Water-bearing fireplace stove floor heating, heat pump, photovoltaic, new construction?

Hello, we want to build in October.

The house should be heated with underfloor heating, operated by a heat pump, which is powered by a photovoltaic system.

Additionally, we want a wood-burning stove anyway and would then take one with water circulation and consider it in the pipe planning.

Is that a good solution?

Do we still need a water storage tank if the stove (pipes) is planned in the central water system during the new construction?

We quite like the Oranier Polar Aqua.

A) Heating load? B) Are the costs for the solution relevant? C) Of course, a heat storage will be needed, since the entire output of the stove will certainly not be usefully utilized in the house at the time it is available. Where this heat storage can be integrated into the system depends on numerous factors and should be left to the planner of the heating and water technology.

We are not there yet, but I had to satisfy my curiosity first. Costs are not irrelevant, so first a underfloor heating with air-water heat pump will be installed and the preparations (pipes & cables) for stove and photovoltaic. Then the stove comes first because of the feel-good factor and if finances then allow, the photovoltaic system will be installed. I thought that would be ultimately very efficient or am I wrong?

How do you want to operate the heat pump with the photovoltaic power in winter? Today our yield was just 1.5 kWh (we have a 7 kWp system). That is not really enough for the heat pump - especially not at night. You will have to buy electricity. Photovoltaics for self-consumption is nice, if you have enough consumers. That should work well in summer!

Good evening,

Oh please...

if the system is properly calculated and a storage is available, "only" about 30%/year. If that doesn’t pay off – with the KfW subsidy – then what does?

Best regards from the Rhineland

I did not say that the photovoltaic system is not cost-effective
It just doesn’t work to operate the heat pump exclusively with it. Current heat pump consumption: about 20 kWh per day. Current photovoltaic system yield: 1.5 - 4 kWh per day.
The self-consumption is already an impressive 100%. Over the course of the year, we also reach about 35% self-consumption. With the self-consumption and the yields, the system pays off in about 12 years (calculated).

Storage systems were simply too expensive for us (a year ago), didn’t fit the house, and regarding the expected lifespan, I’ll give it a guess of three ?.
