So with my bank (in my contract), I cannot find my question answered. The bank has already been asked, but so far there has been no response. Why should I ask questions here when I already know the answer? If someone doesn’t like the thread, just ignore it! Our financing will last about 10 more years. 5 years are over. I just wanted to know in this thread if anyone has switched financing without selling the house.

I have a question about that.
Can you get out of your loan if you sell the house? But then only with a prepayment penalty, right?
It would be new to me that you can just get out (without a prepayment penalty) when selling.

Yes, compensation will definitely be necessary in the event of a sale.

From personal experience:

Getting out of the loan agreement, even if you are willing to pay the prepayment penalty, was not possible for us! At that time, Sparda Bank sent us the notice periods as a response and informed us that these only do not have to be observed if the property is sold.

Currently, we are financing with a savings bank and could not terminate the contract early there either, unless the house is sold.

The terms and conditions should state that early termination of the contract is excluded.
