A party wall or partition wall between apartments is not built using lightweight construction; here the architect must have slipped up or the apartments were added later - and without much oversight.

Edit: I am quite certain that the prefab house industry will not fully agree with your "experiences" as a guideline for any lightweight construction.

No, that was planned and completely fine - I know because we were able to spend more time with the builder on it

But I agree with you: Not acceptable at all...

Of course, they don't agree with me - and they don't have to. Just because an industry has been doing something for a long time doesn't mean it's right afterwards

I don't want to convert anyone - but this was about soundproofing and the thickness of the walls - and that's not a trivial topic that gets fixed by thicker walls.

There are significant differences in drywall construction; if it is not done properly, sound insulation is ruined.

Very good drywall partitions can achieve 72dB, which cannot be approached at all with ks.

No idea at the moment how many decibels our washing machine has - I only know that we don't hear it with the door closed on the upper floor built in lightweight construction - SIMPLY clad!

And we are not hard of hearing

Now you're getting weird ... Yvonne's answer (own experience) has as much or as little significance as yours (own experience), a few answers earlier

Rhenish greetings
