As I said, I am a layperson and am happy to give answers when I have them. There was a construction proposal available, and I can still have an influence now. If anyone has tips, I am grateful for any help here. Most people have even kept the 12.5 cm insulation. Maybe tips on whether the insulation is okay or changes to make. There's still time now. Thanks

I assume that you are building with GÜ. Therefore, I can only give you the tip to involve an independent expert. That initially costs a bit, but it pays off in the end :)

and no one can tell me whether the wall construction with the insulation and heating and triple-glazed windows with 17.5 cm ytong blocks is any good? I can hardly give more information to the consultant either.

Hello,

By what criteria do you evaluate "good" insulation? You could also take 20 cm and double glazing, or 18 and triple glazing, or ... etc...
You have no benchmark at all to assess the effect of better or worse insulation.
Only a consumption forecast helps here (not Energy Saving Regulation or KfW certificate!) based on the actual framework parameters of the building, climate location and user behavior. The efficiency of heating and domestic hot water generation (technical solution) also plays a major role here.

Most people usually do not know what they actually bought because they blindly trust a skilled and trained salesman! For many, the rude awakening only comes afterwards.
PB in combination with additional insulation is not unproblematic from a building physics point of view! Therefore, one is significantly limited in the choice of additional insulation (material)!

I can only emphasize E. Curb’s suggestion to consult an external expert (building and building technology)!

Best regards

I understand what you mean, I would like to do quite a few things, but the house construction came very spontaneously and the plots etc. were snatched away from right under my nose, so it had to happen quickly.

The house with the standard equipment should already have KfW 70.

What I want is clear: not too hot in summer and not too cold in winter ;) Aerated concrete is supposed to be good at that. Since it is a semi-detached house, everyone has their own wall and between them there is an Isover soundproofing wall.

Of course, I could also put on 20 cm, but then I would already be heading towards a passive house and I don’t want that. 12.5 cm is not much, so 16 cm. 18 cm probably only brings minimal additional benefit. I have to make a decision somewhere. I am really grateful for your help but what I need now is more a sentence like: That is quite solid or total rubbish, forget it ;) Of course, everything can be done better. Thanks ;)

That is already the first problem with the project. "It has to go quickly" is the best prerequisite for a money pit. An age-old sales trick.
not infrequently only on paper. In reality, such properties sometimes do not even meet the energy saving ordinance standard.
One can also have a completely different opinion on that. Moreover, subjunctives are rarely part of contracts ;)
Since this apparently is like gambling, then I’d say, take 14 cm, because 16 cm only brings marginally more. (what?) :o
Then I’d say, just as the whole thing started, it will be total rubbish.

regards
