Hello I would like to create a breakthrough from the basement to the garage in my future house. The garage was attached to the house as a prefabricated garage during construction (1998). In the area of the black box (picture) I would like to make the breakthrough and insert a steel door. The basement wall is made of B25 with a wall thickness of 24cm. Who can do something like this for me (mason?). I assume that the structural integrity has to be checked. Is a confirmation from a structural engineer sufficient for this? Will I get permission for something like this and can someone give me a very rough estimate of the price including the door. Regards Thomas
