Hello everyone,
we were recently hit with the proverbial "shock" when we came to our shell construction in the evening to check the work.
In our kitchen, there is a visible drain pipe from the bathroom in the corner that runs through the kitchen above.
The problem is that based on the plan from the architect (in which the plaster is already considered) we had the kitchen designed by the planner, bought it & already made a down payment. Now we're missing 17 cm because of this pipe!! So I either have to restructure the kitchen or live with smaller cabinets in this corner. We cannot accept that! It really annoys us a lot. After inquiries with our construction manager, he said that nothing can be done because it is a load-bearing wall that can no longer be broken open. The plumber also said this was a planning error.
Further in the bathroom. There is a visible ventilation pipe running to the roof structure.
I do not want visible pipes in the expensive new building!!! That can no longer be standard nowadays. I am totally disappointed and extremely frustrated, - in the basement, fine by me, but in living spaces???????
What can we do?
We are grateful for any reply.
