In our new building, there is a serious problem with mold in the concrete basement. Despite regular ventilation, it simply doesn't get drier. Does anyone have a good tip for a good ventilation/drying device for the basement? I want to finally solve the problem; in its current state, the basement is not usable.

Looks like moisture keeps coming back repeatedly. Was your basement built as a so-called WU concrete? There are several things that can be done wrong with that, leading to unplanned relatively high moisture exposure. Otherwise, there are probably water-permeable areas in the basement exterior walls that need to be located and sealed. In any case, a damp moldy basement is defective.

I know that from my neighbor and his basement is always damp as well. He complained about it, but no one cared at first. Only when he threatened with a lawyer was an expert brought in. He then found the cause.

The first question is where the moisture in the basement comes from. I assume that it is not water damage and that needs to be determined. This can be very time-consuming. A drying device only helps to a limited extent at first. If the cause is not found by yourself, then hire an expert for that, they have experience with it.

Exactly, and this is where the cause must be found. Otherwise, it won't yield any points. A drying device is only useful if there has been water damage. The idea with the [Gutachter] is already good.

A damp basement, I see that as a big problem. Mold can spread really well here and destroy a lot. If the cause is not found and eliminated, then such a drying device consumes a lot of electricity.

Often the moisture arises under the screed, which is often not visible, because no one wants to make holes in the tiles. But probably nothing else will remain.
