Hello everyone,

according to the building expert, the vapor-tight connection to the base plate is not in order in our case.

Our construction manager has made some adjustments, but not yet to all areas.

The screed will be installed soon. How important is a completely vapor-tight connection and do I have to insist on a complete seal at this point?

Are problems to be expected here in a few years, or is it like a screw in the vapor barrier and not much will happen?

I see a potential equalization rail, underfloor heating, and a wall in the photo. Please explain the situation to us a bit more precisely, maybe a sketch would help as well. I assume you have no basement and the floor slab is the component in contact with the ground. You will have a vapor diffusion barrier, e.g. Bauder or something similar made of aluminum. Presumably, the issue is then about the connection detail regarding the empty conduits/cables seen in the pictures.

I also only see a normal preparation for the screed here. No vapor-tight seal (which doesn’t exist at this stage anyway and I wouldn’t know what that would even be). This is how every floor looks before the screed. Please explain your problem in more detail.

The problem is next to the anchor; there the wood is not completely covered by the foil.

What exactly do you mean by "Anker" and which slide? The blue edge insulation strip!? I also can't spot any wood in the photos.

Usually, aluminum-coated sealing is applied to the floor slab, which is welded on. If there are pipe penetrations etc. that cannot be perfectly enclosed with the aluminum sheet, there is bitumen-containing, liquid sealing, so that the floor is sealed over the entire surface.
