Hello everyone,
I would like to have my terrace (3×5m) covered. The terrace is adjacent to the house on one side, three sides are open. It should definitely have a wooden substructure and a translucent roof made of double-wall sheets, I am very sure about that. I simply don’t like aluminum. Now I’m wondering if I could also use the kit for a carport for this? The dimensions would fit, and it looks exactly like how I imagine my terrace covering. There are also professionals (carpenters, etc.) in my circle of acquaintances who would take care of the installation. It is important that the facade is not damaged. So it must be a free-standing construction. But that shouldn’t be a problem. Is there maybe someone here who has done something similar before? Is there anything speaking against using a carport kit for this project? I’m grateful for experience reports and tips!
