You can do that without turning off the water, right?

I think with me, that only works via a screw on the upper valves. That probably has to be done by an expert? Why would that be useful now?

Can't you do that yourself without the balancing? I don't imagine it to be very complicated?

I don't know. We have rooms (e.g. guest rooms) that don't need to be warm throughout the entire heating period. That's completely unnecessary. There is, at least with us, not a single setting or heat ratio (for all rooms) that is always equally good for the whole house (and merely made warmer or cooler overall at the boiler). If that works for someone, my approach is actually unnecessary. But, as I said, more adjustment needs to be made on the valves with us. That's at least our experience.

But you heat the unheated rooms through the neighboring rooms, unless you insulate them separately, and that's quite inefficient. On top of that, you increase the risk of mold if you let a room cool down uncontrollably and then let warm (and therefore automatically more humid) air enter through a neighboring room. The moisture in the warm air then condenses on the colder walls of the unheated room -> mold. So at least 16-18°, depending on the temperature of the rest, you should have...

Please upload a picture of the heating circuit distributor.

Yes, instead of the manual rotary handles that you currently have, an electric motor is installed. This motor opens and closes the valve underneath. In other words, what you currently do by hand will then happen automatically. The whole system must be controlled by the room thermostats, which you will also need.

The problem with this is that you have a Giacomini system, and we don’t exactly know what has been installed there. You might need adapters, etc.

For this reason, it makes sense to involve someone who knows what they’re doing and can be on site. Of course, this can also be someone from your circle of friends or family.

What is your annual or monthly gas consumption?

Yes, I don't let the rooms cool down completely, but there is a difference between 22 and 16 degrees.

Here is a picture:

The image actually shows nothing new; it is a typical R553D for 7 heating circuits from Giacomini. What is interesting is the consumption/heat loss of the heated envelope. Possibly the flow/return temperatures would also be of interest.

With high losses, it makes no sense at all to think about fine adjustments or even a thermal balancing. A rough hydraulic balancing is sufficient here, and then the desired actuators instead of rotary controllers on the manifold + wireless thermostats in the rooms. Depending on the motor variant, one may possibly need a heating actuator per manifold.
