The painter agreed, he will do it. Now it is August, I have asked several times, the painter skipped an appointment without comment. Further inquiries - he gets back to me.

The thing with the cracks, I can even understand the painter there. He’s not responsible for it and is now supposed to fix something he didn’t cause, probably for free. A house continues to dry out for a long time and settles, causing cracks. Especially in the transitions from drywall to masonry, because drywall shrinks more. The acrylic in the joints then no longer holds and cracks. Silicone joints don’t work because they can’t be painted over. PU and MS polymer are too expensive and too difficult to work with. The solution is to cover areas prone to cracking from the start with molding strips. Karsten
