Hello,
about 10 years ago I bought a house. On the property, a rainwater cistern about 5m² is buried (about 3m deep). Now I have noticed that it no longer holds water. I have inspected it from the inside and found that the bottom has deformed significantly. This means waves have formed and then cracked upwards. (cracks) Don’t ask me how this happened. Earthquake – no idea. My first thought was to glue it with resin and fiberglass fleece. But then I realized there are too many cracks and some are inaccessible.
Now my question:
Can I, for example, fill up the bottom with 10% coarse gravel and then fill another 10% with concrete? (Maybe paint it with something afterwards) Could that work?
Thank you all in advance
