Hello,

the house we want to buy also has underfloor heating upstairs. However, there are no controllers in the individual rooms. The previous owner has so far set the temperature using a central "rotary valve" located behind a hatch in the bedroom.

We want to change that. We would like a controller next to the respective door in each room.

It concerns 4 rooms (1 bedroom, 2 children’s rooms, 1 bathroom). Approximately how much will that cost with a professional?

Material costs?
Installation costs?

Why? Once a underfloor heating system is set at the valves, you actually don’t need individual control anymore.

I speak from experience: I once had a house with valve control in a hatch on the upper floor or in the basement for the ground floor. Everything was fine and great – what’s the point of the effort?

Yes, I just read something like that on the internet. I know about the ERR from an old rental house I lived in (1980 - 1990). So just leave it like that? And what do you do if one room should be cooler than the others (e.g., bedroom)?

[QUOTE="Volkmann, post: 65849, member: 21636"... And what do you do if a room is supposed to be cooler than the others (e.g. bedroom)?[/QUOTE]

Then you set the controller accordingly :)
